My passion for baking and cooking started as most youngsters, being in the kitchen with a loved one! For me it started with my mom and grandmother. I have ALWAYS had a passion for sticking close to my Latin roots and infusing an American twist. Being a baking and pastry graduate from the Art Institute of Tampa, I began my journey with my first job in the kitchen at Bern’s steakhouse. I then made my way into Todd English’s Olives at the W hotel in Union Square in NYC. From there I have been a part of Trump Soho hotel’s Quattro restaurant opening, and many other restaurants in the New York scene. I then turned my experience from hotel kitchens and set my sights on the front of house. Since opening the Wilson hotel in Big Sky, Montana I have been cooking for just about every event that has been put on. With the love from the Wilson hotel, I have since parted and started Sweet Buns Catering with the help of my husband Jake, twins’ daughters Ava and Vivienne, and our son Leif.
